General Description

All Food-grade conveyors meet minimum standards and regulations that must be respected at all times. The design of a high quality food-grade conveyor will always respect the following criteria:
  • guaranteed food safety for human consumption
  • maintaining the food quality
To maintain the food’s quality and ensure that there is no cross-contamination, it is important to ensure that the product is conveyed in an enclosed system with minimum breakage or degradation. The physical and chemical properties of the product must be analyzed prior to designing a system. This is to better understand the interaction and behavior the product has on the conveyor. A system designed to convey dairy products will be designed differently than one that will convey products like chicken, coffee, peanuts, beans, potatoes, meat, pet food, or eggshells. In order to ensure that the product conveyed will be safe for human (or animal) consumption, a dust-free environment is almost always required. In this way the product can be protected from cross-contamination, from bacteria, high levels of humidity, radical changes in temperature, etc. In addition, the materials used for the components of the conveyor must comply with minimum food regulation standards and be accepted by the USDA (available only at Luxme), CE, and/or FDA. Finally, it is important to make sure that the interior surfaces of your conveying equipment can be easily cleaned and disinfected when scheduled maintenance is required. The automated Clean-in-Place (CIP) system is a feature that provides a FDA approved washing and sanitizing process which includes proper temperature of the cleaning solution, proper temperature of the cleaning agent, wash cycle times, and pressure. Less expensive wash down options are also available but may not be approved by FDA regulations. Throughout the years, we have accumulated enough experience to properly design, construct and deliver food-grade conveying equipment that will maintain the quality, safety, and production rates your company expects. Our conveying systems are currently in used by some of the most recognizable brands in the market, a fact that inspires us to continue innovating and creating some of the most reliable and durable equipment in the food industry.
